This offseason has been downright disastrous for the Kansas City Chiefs. Whether it's important players battling legal troubles or just bad press, there's a lot of negativity around the team's supporting cast. On Saturday, Kansas City got more bad news with their team.

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown was signed by the Chiefs to a one-year deal to bolster their offense. A former first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens was set to take over KC's wide receiver room. However, he suffered an injury that will force him to miss time.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed that Brown was taken to the hospital due to a sternoclavicular joint dislocation.

"Chris HC Andy Reid said WR Hollywood Brown has been hospitalized due to a sternoclavicular joint dislocation," Adam Schefter reports. "Brown’s availability for the start of the regular season is in question."

A sternoclavicular joint (or SC joint) dislocation happens when the ligaments around the SC joint get ruptured completely. Due to the nature of the injury, immediate hospitalization is needed in order to stabilize the patient.

It's worth noting that former Chiefs star Tyreek Hill suffered a similar injury in 2019. Hill would end up missing four weeks due to said injury.

Brown was signed by the Chiefs to a cheap one-year deal this offseason. After a down season with the Arizona Cardinals, the wide receiver looks to pick up the pace with Patrick Mahomes. He tallied 574 yards in 14 games played last season.
