As week one of preseason dwindles down, the urgency for both suitors involved in dealing for Brandon Aiyuk becomes immense, and there is currently a standstill. The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly not happy right now with the Pittsburgh Steelers trade offer for the up-and-coming star wide receiver.

The 49ers are looking to get a receiver or starting-caliber player on top of draft picks. At the moment, the Steelers have only offered draft picks. However, Aiyuk isn't making this situation any easier.

The 49ers seemed to have offers on the table from both the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns that they were intrigued by. But Aiyuk refused a trade to either team. Now, the Patriots have elected to remove themselves from the negotiations.

Last season for San Francisco, Aiyuk tallied 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns, while averaging 17.9 yards per reception. He was a key factor in the 49ers success on their journey to the Super Bowl. Now, they await an offer that will finally end the drama that has been occurring all off-season.
