Utah has officially secured the commitment of 2025 three-star safety Nathan Tilmon, beating out Texas, TCU, and SMU. Per Leyton Roberts , Tilmon is a top 35 safety in the country and a top 70 player in the state of Texas according to On3 Sports.

Tilmon hails from Mansfield Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas, and according to 247Sports, he currently ranks as the 169th overall prospect in Texas and the 94th-best safety in the nation, a stark contrast from On3's much higher rankings.

The 6'0" 185-pound safety received offers from UTEP, UNLV, Tulsa, Texas Tech, North Texas, Michigan State, K-State, Houston, Baylor, Arkansas, and ASU, but ultimately narrowed down his choices to TCU, Utah, Texas, and SMU before choosing Salt Lake City as his new home.

He is now the 18th hard commit of Utah's recruiting class of 2025 and comes in as the second true safety of the group as three-star JJ Buchanan committed on June 23rd.

A solid pickup with high upside, Tilmon will look to continue Utah's recent success in their DB to NFL pipeline, and fans will surely be on the lookout for the ballhawk in 2025.
