LSU stars in the NFL

There were six LSU draft picks entering the NFL this year and most are already making a difference early in the preseason. Brian Thomas Jr. looked great with a 41 yard reception to help the Jaguars beat the Chiefs 26-13.

Malik Nabers played 12 plays and had no receptions or targets in the Giants’ 14-3 victory over the Lions.

Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels had an impressive game. He went 2/3 on passing for 45 yards and then later rushed for 3 yards and a touchdown.

Jaguars Maason Smith saw limited action on defense in their win over Kansas City. Fourth round pick Jordan Jefferson did not play in the game.

Veterans

Vikings veteran Justin Jefferson did not play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Raiders.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow looked sharp going 5/7 and 51 yards and one touchdown.

Ja’Marr Chase had not been practicing this week due to contract drama and did not suit up for the Bengals’ first preseason game.

Danielle Hunter had one sack and one tackle for loss to help the Texans beat the Steelers.
