U.S. sprinter Kenny Bednarek had quite the rollercoaster ride during the 2024 Olympics. With that said, he's now more motivated than ever to come back in 2028 and do better.

Bednarek bagged a silver medal in the Paris Games after finishing second in the 200-meter race, ahead of his USA teammate Noah Lyles and behind Botswana's Letsile Tebogo. However, he didn't perform as well in his two other events.

The 25-year-old track star finished seventh in the 100-meter race, and Team USA was disqualified in the 4x100-meter relay after a disastrous handoff between Bednarek himself and Christian Coleman.

While Bednarek is honored to become a two-time Olympian and silver-medalist—he also won silver in the 200 at the Tokyo Olympics—he's far from being satisfied with what he has achieved.

Bednarek promised not only to be back in 2028 when the Olympics head to LA, but he also vowed to win three gold medals.

"Representing my country and Team USA is an honor I’ll never take lightly. Competing in three events this year has taught me so much, and it’s only fueled my hunger for more," Bednarek shared, as he also thanked all the people who supported him in his Olympic journey, including his family.

He added, "LA 2028 is in my sights and I’m aiming for one thing: 3 gold medals."

Of course, that is easier said than done, especially considering how tough the competition is in track and field. No one really dominated the men's races this 2024, with Canada winning the 4x100 team relay, Tebogo in the 200 and Lyles in the 100.

Bednarek will have the next four years to prepare, and with the next Olympics in the US, he'll have the home-field advantage.
