Should Bills Be Concerned Over Offensive Line?

    By Nick Faria,

If the Buffalo Bills thought that playing Josh Allen and most of the starters would show the rest of the NFL they meant business in 2024, their performance did anything but that.

Allen and Buffalo's quarterbacks were sacked eight times while the running game averaged less than three yards per carry in the Bills' 33-6 loss to the Chicago Bears on Saturday.

At the forefront of Buffalo's struggles were the offensive line concerns.

While most of the trouble from the Bills came when Allen and the starters left, it was evident that Allen running for his life as early as the first quarter was simply not what the coaching staff wanted to see so early in the preseason.

Buffalo may still have a month to figure out a solution to their offensive line concerns, but this weekend was not the best way to dissect how bad the group could be.

With Allen now the lone leader of the locker room and face of the franchise, the Bills need to do everything in their power to make sure they product their top player.

They did a poor job of that in the preseason.

There's still a month to go to fix what clearly was an issue, but the Bills are running out of time to actually do that before the season starts.
