Indiana Fever Star Drops Strong Declaration On 2028 Olympic Plans

The Indiana Fever sent three players to the WNBA All-Star Game during the 2024 season, but the franchise was not represented on the Team USA women's basketball roster for the Paris Olympics. Fever star Aliyah Boston wants to change that narrative for the next Olympic Games.

Boston was recently asked on social media, "Are you going to the Olympics?"

The 22-year-old star then responded, saying that her goal is to make the roster for the 2028 Olympics.

"That's the goal for 2028!! Whatever God has for me will happen," Boston said.

The current roster includes plenty of WNBA stars who are nearing the end of their careers, like Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, and Chelsea Gray, so the 2028 Olympics certainly seems like a possibility for Boston.

Boston is currently averaging 14.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game for the Fever, leading the team in rebounds per game.

She's been one of the most consistent contributors for Indiana during the 2024 WNBA season, alongside Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.

Clark is another player who could see her name listed on the 2028 Olympics roster. She's currently averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 assists, leading the Fever in both categories.

In a recent article by Michael Voepelat ESPN, Clark and Boston were both listed on the potential roster for the United States women's basketball team in 2028.

ESPN projected Boston to achieve her goals of making the 2028 Olympics roster since the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year should be "in the prime of her career."
