Kevin Durant Thinks Like Average American

Kevin Durant loves the game of basketball to the point of shooting imaginary jump shots at the club. While others in his position have fumbled and failed as fame deterred stars from what got them there in the first place, Duran't eyes are fixated on the prize. Americans fear retirement as social security dwindles, and the age to do so is likely to rise; even millionaire athlete Durant is afraid.

Durant appeared on TV One's "Raising Fame." During the show, the Phoenix Suns All-Star discussed his thoughts on retirement and his plans for his hometown, Washington D.C., when he hangs up his NBA jersey for the final time.

"Should I stop thinking about it? It creeps in my mind for sure," Durant admitted.

Although Durant is set for life financially, idle mind wandering is not a great aspect of life, especially for people whose job makes up most of their lives and personalities. Durant is a thoroughbred hooper. Living without a basketball seems like hell for Durant, who is Team USA's all-time leading scorer.

Even during the offseason, Durant dedicates his life to playing the game at a higher level.

The mantra "ball is life" represents Durant perfectly. "I honestly don't know what I'll do. I definitely want to stay around the game," the two-NBA champion revealed.

Regarding his charitable efforts, Durant seeks to continue improving his hometown. "I want to continue to build out my philanthropy and do stuff in my hometown with my mom and aunt," Durant said.

Durant is a hooper for life, and hopefully, for the former Golden State Warriors superstar's sake, he finds peace in retirement.
