Going into the 2024 NFL season, we knew that Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall draft pick this past year, was going to be a major deal.

However, an unexpected rookie QB is joining him in terms of popularity.

Denver Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix has skyrocketed up the jersey sales after his standout preseason debut on Sunday, according to Fanatics. Nix, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has the second-highest-selling jersey in the league behind only Williams.

After his performance on Sunday in the Broncos' preseason win over the Indianapolis Colts, Nix dazzled completing 15-of-21 passes for 125 yards and 1 touchdown. He also added 17 yards on the ground with three rushes.

There have been a lot of questions about Nix coming into his rookie season. While a lot of analysts think that he may have been drafted too high, Broncos quarterback Sean Payton has shown an affinity for the experienced passer who holds the NCAA record for most starts in a college career with 61.

After the first showing on an NFL field, Broncos fans are feeling pretty good about their young passer and what he can do in the future. At the moment, Nix is competing with both Zach Wilson and Jarrett Stidham for the starting spot.
