Fans Name Most Overrated Teams In Preseason College Football AP Top 25

The college football preseason AP poll has arrived, which means there are plenty of issues to take up with the voters on their list of CFB's 25 best squads entering the 2024 season.

First off, you can view the full AP Preseason Top 25 right here . Now, looking over the full rankings, let's dive into some selections the press made that had opposing fans raising their eyebrows. Of course, Texas A&M's ranking at 20th had folks up in arms.

"How does Texas A&M make the top 25 every year?," asked one Ohio State fan in the replies of Brett McMurphy's top 25 tweet , adding a laughing emoji. "A&M too high," commented another person named Dr. Van Nostrand.

"There’s the early season Miami ranking before they go 5-6," commented a user named Frank Boswell on the Hurricanes.

"One day the Miami hype will die," added a dude named Logan Adam, while another user said: "Miami making the top 25 is wild. Do they actually watch the games? Lol."

"Miami and A&M are ranked… why?," asked a fan named Ronan, who spoke for everyone.

Some fans didn't like the AP's decision at the top and felt Ohio State deserved that No. 1 spot.

"Shocking…an SEC team," commented Scott. "Even though Ohio State has better position groups almost across the board."

In another tweet Ohio State fans will like... a user named Intrinsic reacted to the top 25, saying that...

"Michigan inside the top 10 is CRIMINAL," he tweeted.

The high ranking of Penn State and Notre Dame also caught some ire, but for the most part, fans really took the most shots at A&M and Miami. Now, it will be up to the Aggies and Hurricanes to prove everyone wrong in 2024.
