Browns LB Named to NFL All-Under-25 Defensive Team

The Cleveland Browns are an up-and-coming team with a good mixture of veteran presence and young talent on both sides of the ball.

Last season, the Browns boasted one of the best defenses in the NFL, led by veteran defensive end Myles Garrett, but he got some help from some of the younger players too.

One of those young players who is making a name for himself in Cleveland this upcoming season is linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who was just named to the CBS Sports All-Under-25 Defensive Team .

"'JOK' finally had that career/Pro Bowl year the Cleveland Browns were hoping for, and he should take another step forward in 2024 with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. In 2023, Owusu-Koramoah recorded 101 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, five QB hits, six passes defended and his first two career interceptions.

"His 101 total tackles and 20 tackles for loss both led all Browns, and those 101 takedowns were the most by a player to record 20+ tackles for loss in a season since the legendary Luke Kuechly in 2018."

Owusu-Koramoah enters his fourth season in the league and is finally showing some of the potential that the team saw in him when he was drafted in the second round in 2021 out of Notre Dame.

He's become a different player under Jim Schwartz, who arrived to Cleveland in 2023, increasing his tackle total from 70 in 2023 to 101 in 2024, and his sack total from 0 in 2023 to 3.5 last year.

The Browns hope he can be a vital tool in the pass rush along with defensive end Myles Garrett in 2024.
