USA Basketball went undefeated at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Steph Curry and LeBron James led Team USA to a gold medal game victory over France on Saturday, while A'ja Wilson and and Breanna Stewart did the same on Sunday.

The U.S. Women's Basketball Team has now won eight-straight Olympic gold medals, which includes a 61-game winning streak that dates back to 1996.

Following Team USA's gold medal game victory, Nike released an advertisement video that has gone viral.

"It's inspiring when we think about it," a narrator says. "Every four years, teams come from around the world to compete… for second place."

Nike's video on Instagram has accumulated over 17 million views, 100,000 likes, and 1,200 comments. Many loved the advertisement, but others felt it was in poor taste.

"I'm baffled as to why bragging like this is being celebrated," Indiana Fever star Temi Fagbenle wrote in a comment under Complex's Instagram post of Nike's video. "Doesn't matter if it's true - we all have seen the US dominate for the past however many decades. This is in such poor taste."

Fagbenle has appeared in just 11 games for Indiana this season due to multiple injuries, but has been one of their most impactful players when on the court.

The 6-foot-4 center has worked especially well with Caitlin Clark.

In her 11 appearances, Fagbnele has averaged 8.5 points and and 5.5 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game. These are all WNBA career-highs for Fagbnele who was having a great season before the injury issues.
