College football is just a few weeks away, and the Associated Press has released its preseason top 25. The poll has a clear No. 1 team in the country, as the Georgia Bulldogs received 46 out of 62 first-place votes.

The Bulldogs have won two of the previous three national championships. Georgia has only lost two games in the last three years and hasn't lost a regular-season game since Nov. 7, 2020, against the Florida Gators.

Former ESPN "College GameDay" analyst David Pollack favored the Bulldogs as the top team but doesn't believe they will end up that way.

"I get why Georgia is #1 to start the season," Pollack posted on X (formerly Twitter). "But (I) will be totally STUNNED if (the) Dawgs end (the) regular season with that ranking. Brutal schedule, man!"

He finished by tagging head coach Kirby Smart and wishing him good luck.

The Bulldogs are not only ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25 but also top the ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI). This index measures team strength and is designed to predict a team's future performance for the rest of the season.

Georgia is considered to have the highest chance of making it to the College Football Playoff, reaching the national championship game and winning the national championship. However, as Pollack pointed out, the schedule is tough. The Bulldogs will be playing against five teams ranked in the top 15, with three of those games being played on the road.

Still, if a team can handle it, it would be the Georgia Bulldogs.
