Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims seeking coaching job at alma mater

Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims is in the headlines about showing interest in a head coaching job at his alma mater. However, it is not Alabama he is interested in.

Instead, it is his high school alma mater in Gainesville, GA .

Sims provided a statement to the team in a post on his X account , whilst tagging his alma mater to initiate a direct response.

Sims had an up-and-down career with the Crimson Tide during his time there, however he showed flashes of greatness from time-to-time.

It is unknown how his alma mater will respond or even consider hiring him as a head coach.

The only coaching experience Sims has is with Mt. Bethel Christian Academy as an offensive coordinator, which he started on March 17th, 2023.
