Should Eagles Try and Get Back Haason Reddick?

When the Philadelphia Eagles traded Haason Reddick to the New York Jets, most analysts felt that it would be the end of a homegrown partnership between the Temple product and his hometown team.

Could all that change in five months?

Reddick has asked for a trade from the New York Jets in lieu of searching for a long-term extension he had been pushing for with Philadelphia over the last few years.

While the Jets have openly stated they won't be moving Reddick after acquiring him, how crazy would it be for the Eagles to try and attempt to bring Reddick back anyway?

Philadelphia has over $24 million in cap space, plenty of draft capital, and a bevy of talents at edge rusher to satisfy the request for New York.

It also doesn't hurt the fact that the Eagles know Reddick and an eventual stop-gap deal could be reached arguably faster as opposed to any other team.

The fact of the matter is that a trade of Reddick again is seen as extremely unlikely. A trade back to the Eagles is damn near impossible. Philadelphia signed Bryce Huff in free agency and has a young collection of edge rushers on the roster currently.

It may be a fun exercise, but Reddick's return to Philadelphia still seems unlikely.
