The Boston Red Sox (61-55) depleted the roster of the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs when they promoted their three top prospects to the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox. While those prospects are on the move, one remains and has raked over the last week.

On Monday, MiLB named Kristian Campbell the Eastern League Hitter of the Week.

Campbell enters Monday with a .380/.484/.592 line with 24 extra-base hits, 32 RBI, and 17 stolen bases across 223 plate appearances in 49 Double-A games this season. It was his last week, however, that landed him his second Eastern League Hitter of the Week award of 2024.

In five games from August 5th-August 11th, Campbell went 8-for-18 with three extra-base hits, five RBI, and five stolen bases.

Campbell has also won Eastern League Hitter of the Month once already this season, in June. His first full week of August has him on the right path to potentially being named Eastern League Hitter of the Month for the second time in 2024.

Campbell, 22, was drafted by the Red Sox in the competitive balance portion of the fourth round in the 2023 MLB Draft from Georgia Tech. He has quickly advanced through the minor leagues, starting in Rookie Ball last season, and finding himself in Double-A currently.

Campbell entered the 2024 season as Boston's 30th-ranked prospect per MLB Pipeline . Listed at 6'3" and 191 pounds, the outfielder/middle-infielder should be much higher up Boston's top prospect list once the 2025 season is underway, and may find himself with the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox.
