Eagles in Perfect Position for Matthew Judon Trade

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to open up joint practices with the New England Patriots on Tuesday.

During that time, the organization should be able to get an up close and personal look at Pro Bowl edge rusher Matthew Judon. Originally signed as a free agent in 2021, Judon has become one of the most feared defensive players in the game today.

He's also had a history of being able to make clutch plays late in games.

When it comes to the Eagles, they have restructured their defensive line to a point where the organization has not only traded away Haason Reddick but also have focused on getting younger along the edge.

Even with Brandon Graham still on the roster, the Eagles could use another veteran pass rusher.

    Enter Judon.

The more the pro bowler looks good in joint practice Tuesday between the Eagles and Patriots, the more enticing he could look for an Eagles team clearly on a championship-central focus.

New England being in a rebuild doesn't hurt matters either.

Judon wants to be paid like one of the top defensive players in the NFL even at 31 years old. Should the Eagles see that type of play tomorrow, it could be enough overall to make a move.
