At the highest of his powers, Aaron Rodgers wasn't just one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but one of the more beloved across the league.

Then everything changed with one answer.

During the height of the COVID-19 and vaccination debates, Rodgers openly stated he was "immunized" but, in reality, did not receive any of the three vaccines to that point.

From being one of the most loved athletes in the game, to an international pariah, Rodgers had turned into an enemy in many football households. Four years later, and the Jets starting quarterback has regrest on how he handled the whole situation.

"I had an immunization card from my holistic doctor, which looked similar [to the NFL's required ones]," Rodgers says in the upcoming book, per ESPN. "I wasn't trying to pawn it off as a vaccine card, but I said, 'Listen, here's my protocol. Here's what you can follow to look this up.' And it was an ongoing appeal."

It's that part that not only changed Rodgers' perception around the country, but the cause of his biggest regret.

"If there's one thing I wish could have gone different, it's that," Rodgers said, "because that's the only thing [critics] could hit me with."

As he prepares for his 20th NFL season, Rodgers has fallen back in love with football as a member of the Jets and hope a Super Bowl run could put his aura back on the good side across the country.
