Newly Released Video Shows Crowd Erupt at Steph Curry's Gold Medal Clinching Shot

With France desperately hanging close with Team USA late in the gold medal game at the Paris Olympics, Steph Curry delivered the "golden dagger."

Curry took over the game during the final three minutes, nailing four three-pointers to put away a surging French team and clinch the gold medal game with a 98-87 win.

The most emphatic of the final shots came with 35 seconds left and the United States holding onto a six-point lead. Curry hit a three -- his fourth in a row -- and ran down the court doing his trademark "night night" celebration.

A newly released video shows the crowd's reaction as they realized that Team USA was heading to its fifth straight gold medal. The clip, shared on TikTok, showed an eruption from the crowd and some exuberant celebrations from Curry's teammates, including Joel Embiid.

The video, which was also re-shared on X, drew some viral reactions.

"What an unbelievable shot for the ages," one person wrote on X .

"I think we’ve taken Steph’s greatness for granted. We’ll never see a player as skilled ever again," another added .

After a slow start to the Paris Olympics, Curry ended with a flourish. He scored 60 points over the final two games, hitting 17 total three-pointers.
