Noah Lyles just can't catch a break. After being trolled by former NFL star Robert Griffin III, it's now Stephen A. Smith who has called him out.

Lyles has been on the receiving end of some major trolling in recent days after the USA men's basketball team won gold at the Paris Olympics. For those not in the know, the star sprinter has some sort of beef with American players after he shared his belief that the NBA shouldn't refer to its title winners as "world champions."

"You know the thing that hurts me the most? I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have 'world champion' on their head," Lyles said in 2023 following the World Athletics Championships.

"World champion of WHAT? The United States?" he added while mocking the NBA and its players.

After Team USA—composed of NBA stars—beat France for the Olympic gold, the criticisms on Lyles only intensified. After all, it only proved that NBA players are still the best in the globe and deserve to be called "world champions."

Stephen A. agreed as much , as he reminded Lyles of his mistake in criticizing the NBA.

"Noah Lyle, if you stop jumping around, screaming and listen; NBA players are World Champions! Because the best of the best basketball players are on NBA rosters. I appreciated them clapping back at you," Smith shared on LinkedIn.

Noah Lyles has yet to respond to the criticisms leveled at him after the Olympics. And unfortunately for him, the trolling is unlikely to end any time soon.

The good thing for Lyles is he really doesn't have to say anything. After all, he is an Olympic gold medalist himself after topping the 100-meter race in the 2024 games. He also bagged bronze in the 200-meter, for good measure.

Regardless of the disrespect he's getting, no one can take away the fact that Lyles is a world champion.
