Muggsy Bogues' Iconic Photo With Young Steph Curry Is Going Viral

Stephen Curry wasn't born the greatest shooter alive. It took countless hours of tireless work in the gym for the Golden State Warriors superstar to earn that undisputed title.

Just don't let Curry's notorious dedication to his craft deflect from the advantages he enjoyed while growing up as the son of an NBA veteran.

Charlotte Hornets legend and former Toronto Raptors guard Muggsy Bogues sent the sports world a heartwarming reminder of Curry's basketball beginnings on Tuesday, posting a photo of the pair playing casual one-on-one while the four-time champion was a young child.

Bogues, standing all of 5-foot-3, dwarfed an adolescent Curry in the late 1990s and early 2000s, back when Dell Curry was finishing his career with the Toronto Raptors.

Bogues was sending Curry congratulations for winning his first Olympic gold medal with Team USA. Though he largely struggled playing for the national team this summer, Curry came alive when the Americans needed him most.

He dropped 36 points and an Olympic record nine threes in their instant-classic semifinal win over Serbia, then drained four triples in crunch-time to put France away for good in the gold-medal game.

Curry has spoken openly and fondly of the time he and his younger brother, Seth, spent around NBA locker rooms as children.

With the influence of a player and person like Bogues and genes of an all-time shooter like their father, it's hardly surprising the Currys followed their footsteps to the NBA.
