ESPN’s SP+ Ranks The 25 Best Offenses In College Football Ahead of 2024 Season

ESPN writer Bill Connelly has released the final preseason rankings of the SP+, a set of analytics-based metrics measuring the overall strength of every FBS college football team in each phase of the game.

In this post, we'll take a look at the 25 highest-rated offenses in the SP+ rankings ahead of the 2024 football season. Without further ado, let's take a look at the units that should light up the scoreboard this fall...

Well, it's a pair of Big Ten teams to bookend the top 25, with Oregon leading the way returning their electric core of pass catchers while adding a sixth-year star QB in Dillon Gabriel. Meanwhile, Ohio State is down at No. 25 despite the additions they made and their standing as a clear top-two team in the country.

Elsewhere, Memphis rates extraordinarily high and certainly is the best-scoring Group of Five squad in the SP+ offensive metrics. They're all the way up at No. 9, while no other non-power conference team made the top 25.
