After the preseason kicked off, excitement around the NFL has been growing, as we inch closer to the beginning of the 2024 NFL season. Apparently some of that excitement has been growing in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Raiders took the field for the first time last weekend, playing in a road game against the Minnesota Vikings . Las Vegas lost that game in heartbreaking fashion (as heartbreaking as a preseason loss could be), but there were some encouraging things Raiders' fans could take away from it.

Now, the Raiders will head back home, and prepare for their second preseason matchup, where they'll host the Dallas Cowboys . In preparation for that, they'll be having some practices at Allegiant Stadium over the next week.

According to one Raiders' reporter , their practice on Wednesday is set to draw a massive crowd:

The official capacity for Allegiant Stadium is 65,000, so if the Raiders manage to bring in 40,000 fans on Wednesday, that means the stadium would be nearly two-thirds full. That would be impressive even for a preseason game, but even better for a practice.

Hopefully, for the Raiders' sake, this is a sign of things to come during the 2024 season. Since the team moved to Las Vegas, they've struggled a bit to maintain the same type of home-field advantage the franchise is used to seeing.

However, the 2024 season feels like the first one in a while in which the fans truly have hope in the team. The days of Jon Gruden and Josh McDaniels frustrating the fan base are over, and if Wednesday's practice is any sign, it sounds like raider nation is ready to take over their stadium again.
