ESPN's Heather Dinich called out Clemson on Tuesday's episode of "Get Up " which prompted a furious response from ACC Network analyst Eric Mac Lain.

Mac Lain is a former Clemson offensive lineman who played under Dabo Swinney but now works for ESPN and the ACCN. After seeing Dinich dismiss his alma mater and their ability to contend in 2024, he was not happy.

"Here we go with this trash again," Mac Lain tweeted in response to a post with Dinich's comments. "@GetUpESPN I’m available at your convenience."

Mac Lain is ready to set the record straight with Dinich and "Get Up " after Dinich's Tiger takedown.

“Clemson, why so much love for the Clemson Tigers?” Dinich had asked on the show. “They had four conference losses last year, which is as many as they’ve had combined in the past six seasons.”

She's a believer in the defense but just doesn't see a reason for massive improvement on offense.

“People keep telling me their defense is going to be great, their defense is always pretty good,” Dinich added. “But they’ve got to get a quarterback. Cade Klubnik is back. Until we see offensive improvement, I don’t see why there should be so much love for the Clemson Tigers.”

Starting with Mac Lain’s final season at Clemson, 2015, the Tigers went six straight seasons through 2019 with two or fewer losses each year. The last three seasons, they’ve lost three games, three games, and four games.

Dinich might be right to doubt Clemson as a top-tier contender, but Mac Lain isn’t a fan of that take.
