Indiana Fever Releases Three-Word Statement on Caitlin Clark's Rookie of the Year Chances

Caitlin Clark is the clear favorite to take home the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award through the first half of her debut campaign with the Indiana Fever.

The league's No. 1 overall pick impressed in her first 26 games, putting together a resume that earned her a spot on this year's WNBA All-Star Team.

Clark leads all rookies in nearly every major statistical category, including points, assists, steals, three pointers made, field goals made and free-throw percentage.

The Fever organization is more than confident in Clark's Rookie of the Year chances as the second half of the 2024 season quickly approaches.

"It's no contest," the team wrote on X.

Not only is Clark the most-productive rookie in the league, she's also one of the league's best players overall. The former Iowa superstar leads the WNBA with 8.2 assists per game. And in the Fever's final game before the Olympic break, she set the all-time, single-game assist record with 19 dimes.

Clark's only legitimate competition for Rookie of the Year is Angel Reese. The Chicago Sky rookie made some history of her own in the first half of the 2024 season, setting the all-time record for consecutive double-doubles (15).

Clark and the Fever will resume their 2024 season with a matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on August 16.
