Jose Iglesias spent his whole afternoon at Playland in Rye, New York.

Iglesias was set to perform OMG! at 6:45, but that did not stop him from getting there much earlier.

Hundreds of Mets fans waited in line to meet the new fan favorite. Iglesias was great with every single fan. He has such positive and good energy about him. Iglesias was very present and in the moment and he seemed to be grateful for each and every person who waited in line to see him and to, later, see him perform.

It was pretty incredible to watch. Three hours into him meeting fans, you would never know that Iglesias had been there that long by looking at him. That Iglesias made every person he connected with feel special was palpable in the reactions of everyone who met him.

Fans of all ages piled in to see Iglesias. The Mets star showed interest in everyone.

The performance was also very good. As Candelita, Iglesias brings the same energy that he somehow always has. Iglesias’s positive vibes are noticeable on the field, in the dugout and, of course, while he performs.

Iglesias has a knack for performing and a knack for the spotlight. There is no reason to think Iglesias could not have a very successful performing career when he finally hands up the cleats.

Something about Iglesias’s energy is very genuine. His positivity in his actions and behavior seems to come from a very innocent place.

OMG! is about not sweating the small things and being grateful and positive every day. Iglesias emphasized that message after finishing the performance. He finished by talking about how everyone should take things day to day and be grateful for the moment we are living in together.

Iglesias said the sweet words with real conviction and in a way where it is clear that he too hopes to live by that philosophy.

Before he left the stage, Iglesias got the fans riled up again by starting a Let’s Go Mets chant.

Everything about the day was impressive, especially since Iglesias had not had much rest recently. The Mets had a game in Seattle that ended at around 10 PM ET. Iglesias could not have gotten home until the very early hours of the day after the 5 hour and 30 minute flight.

That did not stop Iglesias from showing up early with great energy. The fans appreciated Iglesias’s energy and reciprocated his positivity.
