Patrick Mahomes Blames Taylor Swift For This Recent Change in Travis Kelce

When your friend tells you to try something new, it's often met with skepticism and trepidation. But when your girlfriend makes the same suggestion, you might be more likely to listen.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is claiming that's what happened recently with his teammate, tight end Travis Kelce, and his mega-star girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

On a town hall session with Sirius XM Radio on Tuesday night, Mahomes revealed that he is a fan of Kelce's new look this season, sporting longer hair. Mahomes claims that he's been encouraging Kelce to switch from his high-and-tight fade for a while now but to no avail.

But when Taylor has the same thought, it's suddenly a good idea.

“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” Mahomes said during the interview.

It may be a little bit warmer under the helmet during those August training camp practices for Kelce, but if the girlfriend thinks it's a good idea, who are any of us to disagree?

Ultimately, if Taylor is happy, then I'm sure Travis is thrilled to make the change.
