Retired Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce moved onto greener pastures following last season. Not long after he announced his retirement, he announced that he would be joining ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown crew as an analyst.

In a recent appearance on the Green Light Podcast with Chris Long , Kelce shared his biggest fear as an analyst.

“I don’t know. I mean, swearing is up there,” Kelce jokes. “I guess I’m fearful that I’m not going to be prepared because I feel like there’s a lot more like autonomy on making sure you’re on top of your stuff.

“Once you’re like removed from being in the NFL, you got to go out of your way to really watch things and really iron in on what’s happening, to do a reputable job.”

Kelce, a six-time All Pro and Super Bowl Champion, wants to be good at his job. His work ethic is undeniable, and that’s commendable, but he knows that as a retired player, he is going to have to put in a ton of work to keep up week in and week out.

‘It’s very easy for a former player to not truly understand the ins and outs of like, what’s happening in a specific situation, but you still have to give your opinion,” Kelce continued.

“So, I think doing that in a responsible way is like, what I really, really want to strive to do. That’s both accurate and correct.”

Kelce is a great personality and is one of the most popular players in and around the NFL. His New Heights podcast with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is hugely popular as well.

We are sure that Jason will do just fine in his new job, and we will be tuned in every Monday night.
