Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell appeared on a local radio show Wednesday morning and provided some updates on his running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

Gibbs left practice early with a hamstring injury on Monday.

Campbell said on 97.1 The Ticket regarding Gibbs:

"I think we're gonna be fine here. So, I think we'll be good."

Gibbs missed two games last season due to hamstring issues but it sounds like this time around — at least from Campbell — Detroit will have their playmaking tailback return in time for the regular season .

Campbell also said that rookie cornerbacks Terrion Arnold (pectoral) and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (ankle) are in the same category as Gibbs after they also left practice early on Monday.

Quarterback Hendon Hooker, who suffered a concussion during the Lions' first preseason game against the New York Giants, is "trending" to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.
