The WNBA break is coming to a close after weeks away due to the Olympics. At long last, fans will get to see the action returning and get an opportunity to watch the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark once again.

The first half of the season went well for Clark and the Fever, and they have shattered a number of records with the top pick drawing big crowds on a nightly basis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

On Wednesday, the Fever released a statement and hype video showing just how many records have been broken through the first few months of the season,

There are a large number of records the Fever have set so far, including the following:

    • A league-high 38 national televised games
    • 10 broadcasts with viewership records
    • 250% increase in ticket sales
    • Jersey sales increasing by over 1000%
    • 800 million social media views (from April to July)
    • 10 times increase in fans interacting with the website and app

On top of that, the Fever is also ranked at the top in video consumption across all of the WNBA, NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB.

The Fever team store at Gainbridge Fieldhouse has also set single-game records for sales four different times and has seen an increase of more than 1,000% in net sales.

The Fever mascot, Freddy Fever, is even seeing a 150% increase in appearance requests, per the report.

It's a huge change in years past for the Fever and for the WNBA, and Caitlin Clark should be attributed to a large portion of this.

The former Iowa star is averaging 17.1 points per game with 8.2 assists and 5.8 rebounds through the first half. The WNBA Rookie of the Year race appears to be between Clark and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, so it should be an exciting race to the finish line.

The Fever are 11-15 entering Friday's game against the Phoenix Mercury and need to get on a roll if they want to make the WNBA Playoffs.
