The injury bug is hitting the Kansas City Chiefs early on during camp. New wide receiver pickup Hollywood Brown was hospitalized and is now out for 4-to-6 weeks with an injury.

Then, on Wednesday, star offensive lineman Jawaan Taylor was carted off the practice field with an injury, per a report from ESPN's Adam Teicher.

"Jawaan Taylor was just carted off the practice field and to the locker room," Teicher wrote on X.

Taylor, who spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, signed a four-year contract worth $80 million in March 2023.

Shortly after, Adam Schefter of ESPN revealed it was a shoulder issue for Taylor.

"Chiefs OT Jawaan Taylor suffered a shoulder injury at today’s practice. One source said the team is “not overly concerned at this time.”'

He was a huge part of the success of the offensive line last season and was once again expected to be an anchor up front for Patrick Mahomes and company.

Taylor started every game last season as the Chiefs went on to win the Super Bowl, so being without one of their best linemen would be a crucial blow.

After Taylor left, it was Lucas Niang who took his place on the line.

Although they don't expect it to be serious, it remains to be seen how long Taylor will be out for.
