Steph Curry Shares Wild Story About Ex-NBA Champion Cussing Out Reporter

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry recently reunited with former teammate Stephen Jackson in an appearance on the "All the Smoke" podcast.

Curry reminisced his early years with the Warriors with Jackson and co-host Matt Barnes. The discussion went to the trade rumors that hounded Jackson during Curry's rookie season, and the two-time MVP revealed a wild story about it.

According to Curry, the teammates were at a steakhouse near their hotel in Indiana during a road trip.

"Somebody had started rumblings about your trade rumors and this and that," Curry said. "You were unhappy and people in the locker room were unhappy, and the media taking over, doing what they do.

"I remember sitting at the dinner table and you called up this reporter and cussed him out so bad for writing an untruthful article."

Curry, who was then 21 years old, admitted that he was stunned by what he witnessed.

"I'm sitting there, like, 'This is how we do? Okay,'" the newly minted Olympic gold medalist added.

In true Jackson fashion, he just laughed at the epic story and gave a funny response.

"We didn't have a show then. I didn't have an outlet. I couldn't control the narrative so I had to call them m*****f******," Jackson said.

Jackson, who won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003, was shipped by the Warriors to the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010, where he had the highest-scoring stint of his career at 21.1 points per game.

Curry, meanwhile, went on to become a Warriors icon, delivering four titles to the Bay Area between 2015 and 2022.
