The first week of the preseason just recently wrapped up, but it's never too early to start looking toward the trade deadline.

With that in mind, on Wednesday, Bleacher Report released an article in which they listed one player each NFL franchise should place on the trade block. For the Las Vegas Raiders , the player they suggested was Tyree Wilson.

Wilson was the Raiders' first-round pick back in 2023, and due to an injury suffered before the season, he ended up getting off to a slow start. This will be his first fully healthy season, but despite that, B/R thinks Las Vegas could be better off without him .

Essentially, their main point is that the Raiders shouldn't be in a position to wait and try to develop Wilson. B/R mentions that Las Vegas does not have a good track record when it comes to developing talent. With that in mind, they shouldn't attempt to develop Wilson.

With talents already on the defensive line including Maxx Crosby, Malcolm Koonce, and Christian Wilkins, B/R thinks the Raiders should aim to trade Wilson now, while he still has value, and opt for a player that could help the team right away, since the team seems to be trying to win right now.

These are all decent points, but there are reasons to hold onto Wilson. He has a great combination of size and speed, and the Raiders could see him develop rapidly in his second year.

Either way, we'll have to see how his 2024 season goes. If Las Vegas doesn't see improvement by mid-season, he makes a solid trade candidate.
