ESPN’s Chris Low published a 2024 college football preseason All-America team on Wednesday morning, with a pair of Oregon players listed as second-team selections.

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel and wide receiver Tez Johnson — two of the Ducks’ most experienced offensive playmakers — were second-teamers according the Low, and while Oregon went without a single first-team selection, it’s two total selections were the third most of any Big Ten team, behind only Ohio State’s five and Michigan’s three.

While Gabriel was listed behind Georgia’s Carson Beck as the second-team quarterback, Johnson backed-up Luther Burden of Missouri and Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona as a second-team wide receiver.

Of Low’s 52 total All-American selections, 16 were from the Big Ten.

Ohio State’s five selections — running back Quinshon Judkins, offensive guard Donovan Jackson, defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, cornerback Denzel Burke and safety Caleb Downs — tied the most of any school.

Meanwhile, Downs was one of four first-team selections from the Big Ten alongside Michigan’s tight end Colston Loveland, defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback Will Johnson.

This fall, Gabriel, Johnson and the rest of the Ducks will be hoping to prove Low wrong by earning a spot on the postseason first-team.
