Paige Bueckers Sparks Buzz With Appearance at Minnesota Twins Game

UConn superstar Paige Bueckers appears to be enjoying the offseason as she prepares for her final college basketball campaign.

On Tuesday, Bueckers took the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Minnesota Twins' home matchup against the Kansas City Royals. Bueckers is a hometown hero in Minnesota, born and raised in St. Paul.

Bueckers' appearance at Target Field sparked some serious buzz on social media.

"Paige Bueckers threw out the first pitch at the Minnesota @Twins game!" UConn women's basketball wrote on X.

Bueckers is entering the 2024-25 season as one of the undisputed faces of college basketball. When her career with UConn comes to a close, she's expected to enter the WNBA as the likely No. 1 overall pick.

Bueckers averaged 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game for the Huskies this past season. UConn's season came to an end with a loss to Caitlin Clark and Iowa in the Final Four.

Bueckers and UConn are on the hunt for the school's 12th National Championship this coming season.
