Darius Slay Says Eagles Will Have 'Upgraded' Jalen Hurts in 2024

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay believes Jalen Hurts will return to elite form this NFL season.

Slay, one of the team's key veterans, took to his own Big Play Slay podcast on Wednesday to discuss the encouraging changes he expects from his star QB with the help of his new offensive coordinator.

“I love Kellen Moore, Slay said . He's gonna do great things with Jalen. He upgraded Jalen’s skills making him a smarter player…making him make a lot of reads, a lot of checks. Trying to get him the freedom to be one of the super, super elite guys.”

The Eagles' 2023-24 campaign had a somber ending, and it was Hurts who received a large portion of flak. He completed 352 passes on 538 attempts for 3,858 yards and 23 touchdowns, and earned his second Pro Bowl honor. While it was a career-high year in all of those statistical categories, his 15 interceptions proved detrimental to the offensive success.

Looking as sharp as ever thus far in his training camp appearances, Hurts has all of the tools for a serious comeback in 2024.
