NHL Star Connor McDavid & Designer Lauren Kyle Show Off Wedding Photos

The face of the NHL is also now a married man. Edmonton Oilers superstar forward and captain Connor McDavid married Lauren Kyle this summer in a ceremony held at Lake Muskoka in Ontario, Canada, the league echoed on August 13 via Vogue Australia .

The couple, who have been together since 2015 , celebrated their wedding in a location approximately two hours north of Toronto, with photos of the event originally shared by Vogue Australia.

“Our favourite place in the world is our cottage in Muskoka,” Lauren Kyle said via Vogue . "Being on the water is so peaceful and calming.”

McDavid proposed to Kyle at their cottage in the Muskoka area during the summer of 2023, announcing their engagement on June 2023. Kyle shared with Vogue Australia that McDavid's vows were a particularly memorable part of the wedding.

"He is usually more reserved and quiet about his emotions, but his vows were so emotional and heartfelt—it was really special to share that in front of all of our friends and family," Kyle said.

Kyle is the owner of Kyle & Co. Design Studio , an interior design firm based in Edmonton. McDavid, entering his 10th season with the Oilers, is the clear-cut face of the NHL and the best player in the league, as has been the case for a few years now.

McDavid is coming off scoring an impressive 132 points in the 2023-24 regular season, one that was followed by a run to the Stanley Cup Finals where the Oilers fell to the Florida Panthers.

McDavid also became just the fifth NHL player to assist 100-plus goals in a single season, joining hockey Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr, only for Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov to also join the exclusive club at the end of the 2024 season.

Both McDavid and Kucherov put up exactly 100 assists in 2024. However, Kucherov outscored McDavid with 44 goals to the Oilers forward's 32.
