Jack Campbell was the Detroit Lions' "other" first round pick along with Jamhyr Gibbs from the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Lions also snagged record-setting sophomore tight end Sam LaPorta in the 2023 draft, adding to the comparatively low profile that Jack Campbell has going into the 2024-2025 NFL season.

On Wednesday, Lions reporter Will Burchfield revealed the latest inte l on Campbell's development in defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn's defense with a quote from Glenn himself.

"His ability to drop in coverage has improved tremendously," Glenn said. "And that's one thing we're going to ask of him. That's going to help us be a better defense."

Jack Campbell had 52 solo tackles and two sacks for Coach Dan Campbell's team and Glenn's defense last season, setting him up for a potential breakout year in 2024-2025.

At 6-foot-5, 243 pounds, Jack Campbell has the size and athleticism to become one of the best linebackers in the NFC if all goes according to plan.

The Lions play the Chiefs in Kansas City on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET in their second preseason game of the season.
