The Philadelphia Phillies (69-50) have not had many things go right for them since the second half of the season began. The beginning of Wednesday's game looked like more of the same. Kyle Schwarber had other plans.

Coming to the plate in the bottom of the fourth with three runners on and two outs and the Phillies down 5-2 to the Miami Marlins (45-75), Schwarber would hit an opposite-field grand slam to put the Phillies up 6-2.

Facing Marlins starter Edward Cabrera for the third time Wednesday night, Schwarber fell behind in the count early with a first-pitch changeup down the middle for strike one. The next two pitches would be nowhere close, putting Schwarber ahead in the count 2-1.

The fourth pitch would be another changeup, a pitch that Cabrera has leaned on heavily in this start, but was in a nearly identical spot to the first pitch of the at-bat, and Schwarber would take it 376 feet to left field for his 28th home run of the season.

The Marlins took an early lead over the Phillies on a first-inning three-run home run from Jonah Bride .

The Phillies slowly fought back, however, with one run in the second and one run in the third, to bring the score to 3-2. The Marlins would score two runs in the top of the fourth, to put them back ahead by three, but Kyle Schwarber's grand slam would erase all of that.

The grand slam gave the Phillies their first lead of this series and snapped an 0-for-16 streak for Kyle Schwarber.
