Still widely considered one of the best safeties in the NFL, two-time Pro Bowler Justin Simmons remains without a team in mid-August after being released by the Denver Broncos in March 2024.

Simmons has been in the news recently after confirmed free agent visits with the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport .

The former third-round pick also turned heads on social media on August 14 when he posted a Broncos highlight video to his Instagram captioned, "More glory…You get all the praise. Thank you Lord🙏🏽"

After fans quickly began thinking he may have re-signed in Denver — "Please tell me you’re back!!?" one Broncos fan wrote —  the 30-year-old star issued an apology for the confusion.

One hour later, Simmons wrote "Just a post everyone. Means nothing lol" as well as a separate apology on X , "Was just a post! No hidden message, and apologies for the confusion."
