"Steelers Money!" Colin Cowherd Sends Message To Brandon Aiyuk

All is quiet on the Brandon Aiyuk front as the Pittsburgh Steelers await the San Francisco 49ers decision. Reports are that the 49ers are still trying to put together a last-minute deal that would keep Aiyuk playing in the Bay Area.

On a recent episode of “The Herd”, host Colin Cowherd sent a strong message to the San Francisco wideout as he makes his decision.

"You're going to get open more often and win more games in San Francisco, but you're going to get more money in Pittsburgh" Cowherd said. "Either choice is fine. I mean, do you want to be playing in games in January and February or watching on TV?"

The implication here is that the 49ers are a much better team than the Steelers and he should stay where he’s at if he wants a shot at winning a Super Bowl Championship because that’s what guys are playing for, right?

"For a lot of guys, and I get this, not everybody loves football," Cowherd continued. "They like what football gives you. And it can give you a lot of money and fame and I'm not judging. Do whatever you want."

We have actually seen cases like this before in the league where super talented players aren’t really interested in playing as much as they are interested in getting paid.

As much as we hate to admit it, Cowherd isn’t that far off base with his comments. The 49ers have been to the NFC Championship four of the last five years and made the Super Bowl twice.

The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2016.
