Jets AFC East Chances Improved With Latest Bills Injury

It's never a good thing when a top player on an opposing team is lost for the year due to an injury. As competitors, NFL teams want to face the best competition they can.

The New York Jets are no different - although it's not wrong to say that their quest to clinch their first AFC East title since 2002 has gotten somewhat easier over the last few hours.

Matt Milano, the starting top linebacker of the Buffalo Bills has reportedly suffered a torn biceps injury that could keep him out for the entire 2024 season.

Milano is an All-Pro linebacker and can be considered the best defensive player on the Bills after the free agent departures of Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, and Tre'Davious White.

Buffalo's defense still has some strong talent along the starting rotation, but Milano was expected to be the straw that stirred the drink for the entire unit.

It means every team facing the Bills should know that the team is down a top linebacker, and therefore, down a key part in how defenses succeed in 2024.

The Jets are an offense that has gone through major transformations along the offensive line and sill group. With Milano out, the excuses are running thin regarding New York's push to end a 13-year playoff drought and 22-year drought of winning their division.
