It's no secret around the league, and it's certainly known in the Raiders building that Maxx Crosby is a game wrecker. It appears that he's such a game wrecker that he was pulled off the field while the team was in Costa Mesa to give the offense a chance to get some work in. This all according to Vic Tafur

This of course, is not just speculation, Antonio Pierce confirmed all of this when speaking to the media.

"There are certain plays we want to see, and sometimes you’ve got to pull him off on those plays to get the look for the offense,” Pierce told members of the media about Crosby. “I mean, he is that type of player now in his career where when he makes up his mind [and] he is unblockable. I think he understands that, and we understand that."

Crosby is entering the 2024 season with an already impressive resume, since 2019 he's had 52 sacks, and 321 total tackles, 14.5 of those sacks came in 2023, according to ESPN .

Now it appears he's taken another step, a step so big he's being removed from practice so the offense has a chance.
