Jordan Chiles is breaking her silence over the decision that will take away the bronze medal she earned at the Paris Olympics -- and getting some support from a fellow gymnastics star.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a ruling that bumped Chiles from third place to fifth place in the floor competition. The court ruled that American coaches were too late in asking for judges to review Chiles' score, which initially resulted in a 0.1-point increase due to the level of difficulty in her routine.

Chiles took to Instagram on August 15 to issue a statement calling the decision "unjust."

Chiles' statement brought an outpouring of support, including former U.S. gold medalist Dominique Moceanu who offered a three-word assessment on the ruling.

"A colossal mess," Moceanu shared on X .

In her statement, Chiles said that the decision led her to face ugly attacks online.

"I have no words," Chiles wrote. "This decision feels unjust and comes as a significant blow, not just to me, but to everyone who has championed my journey.

"To add to the heartbreak, the unprompted racially driven attacks on social media are wrong and extremely hurtful. I've poured my heart and soul into this sport and I am so proud to represent my culture and my country."

While her bronze medal may be taken away, Chiles still earned a gold medal for the team competition at the Paris Olympics.
