Travis Kelce's New TV Series Cameo Catches Fans Off Guard

Travis Kelce has had a relatively quiet offseason following the shockwaves of Taylor Swift-mania and another Super Bowl title with the Kansas City Chiefs in February.

On August 15, the All-Pro tight end made a surprise cameo — at least to some football fans — in the trailer for FX's new horror series "Grotesquerie." The series is set to debut on Wednesday, September 25, three days after Kansas City's Week 3 game in Atlanta.

Kelce makes a very brief appearance at the 1:12 mark of the intense 90-second trailer, seemingly performing magic as he waves his hands across his face.

One of Kelce's co-stars, Niecy Nash-Betts, revealed his involvement in the show during a series of Instagram videos posted from the set in May.

In one video shared by TMZ Sports , the 34-year-old can be heard saying "I'm in a new territory."

Kelce, who came up 16 yards shy of his eighth consecutive 1,000-yard season in 2023, will be back in action for the Chiefs' second preseason content on Saturday, August 17.

Head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Thursday that starters "will play most of the first half" against the Detroit Lions.
