Sabrina Ionescu Goes Viral for Olympic-Themed Celebration

The WNBA returned at long last on Thursday night after a several-week-long hiatus to allow for the top players in the league to travel across the pond and take part in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

While we had a great time watching Team USA win their eighth consecutive gold medal, it was quite a relief to have our biggest stars back on home soil and play as members of our favorite teams once again.

However, the Olympics don't appear to be too far from our minds.

That much became apparent during the New York Liberty game when gold medalist Sabrina Ionescu broke out a classic celebration, hitting the viral 'Yusuf Dikec pose' and mimicking the silver medalist in the 10m air pistol team event a few weeks ago.

The celebration came after fellow gold medalist Breanna Stewart drilled a three in the Liberty game against the Los Angeles Sparks. Stewart had a monster game, dropping 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting in the 103-68 blowout win.

Ionescu added 18 points, six assists, and four rebounds in the win as well.

Though the Olympics are in the past and we will have to wait another four years to see Team USA take the floor in search of their ninth consecutive gold medal, it's memories and jokes like these that will keep us fueled and ready to go for the Los Angeles Game in 2028.
