Kahleah Copper's 'Cold' Move Before Embarrassing Sky Is Going Viral

During the offseason, the Chicago Sky traded away All-Star guard/forward Kahleah Copper to the Phoenix Mercury (along with Morgan Bertsch) for Michaela Onyenwere, Brianna Turner, two first-round picks (Chicago used the 2024 pick for Kamilla Cardoso), and two second-round picks.

On Thursday, Copper returned to Chicago for the first time since her offseason trade as the Sky hosted the Mercury in their first game back from the Olympic break. It was a homecoming of sorts for Copper, who spent the last seven seasons suiting up for the Sky.

This is exactly why the 29-year-old decided to send a bit of a message to Chicago upon her return.

Copper turned heads by wearing her old Sky jersey as she made her way into the Wintrust Arena for the game. After leading Phoenix to an 85-65 blowout win, the 6-foot-1 guard revealed that she had planned this out " for a very long time ."

As expected, this move garnered all sorts of reactions from the fans on X, formerly Twitter.

"Cold blooded right there," read a comment.

"Sheeeshh she is a menace 😎" read another.

"She stood on business! 💯" a fan said.

"She’s too cold 🥶" a comment read.

"Bro she cooked Angel Reese 😂😂" remarked a supporter.

More importantly, as that last tweet indicated, Copper put on a show in her return to her old stomping ground. She did cook Angel Reese and the rest of the Sky by putting up a game-high 29 points on 12-of-19 shooting, to go along with two rebounds, three assists, and three triples in 35 minutes of action.

Copper came to Chicago with a mission, and it's safe to say that after leading Phoenix to an impressive blowout victory, she certainly got her message across.
