Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay didn't mince words when discussing the ongoing contract dispute between Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

On a recent episode of his podcast, Slay took aim at Jones and the Cowboys organization for their handling of Lamb's contract situation.

"It would be hard for me to play for an organization like that," Slay stated, referring to Jones' Cowboys. "A guy that's just not willing to take care of his guys."

Slay drew a stark contrast between the Cowboys' approach and that of the Eagles, praising Philadelphia's general manager Howie Roseman.

"I know you all see how Howie gets stuff done. ... You can see when a team and an organization appreciates what you do for their team. They take care of you," he said.

The All-Pro cornerback even went as far as to suggest that Lamb should consider sitting out games against the Eagles if his contract demands aren't met.

"Hold out each Eagles game," Slay advised, jokingly. "You can play everybody else, just hold out each Eagles game. Just say, 'I'm holding out against the Eagles,' because I know Jerry cares about that game a lot. He doesn't like losing to us."

Lamb, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract, has been absent from Cowboys training camp and team activities this summer. The wide receiver is due $17.9 million in 2024 on the fifth-year option of his rookie deal but is seeking a long-term extension.

Jones recently stated, "I don't have any urgency to get it done," regarding Lamb's contract, which prompted Lamb to respond with "lol" on social media.

The Cowboys, for the record, do end up "taking care'' of their stars; Lamb's $30 million-plus APY contract seems an inevitability. But ...

Slay's comments highlight the rivalry between the Eagles and Cowboys, as well as the different approaches to player contracts between the two organizations. As the regular season approaches, all eyes will be on how the Lamb situation unfolds and whether it impacts the Cowboys' performance on the field.
