Rough Offseason for Bills' Front Office Continues

The Buffalo Bills needed to make plenty of roster moves to remain cap-compliant for the 2024 season.

That alone is a big reason why top veterans like Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and Tre'Davious White are no longer with the organization. It's also why the team was only able to make short incremental additions at key positions as well.

One of those additions was the signing of Chase Claypool. While seen as a borderline roster player, Claypool's injury release shows how rough the offseason has been for the Bills, and how much tougher it could still get with the season not even underway.

In the span of just a couple of days, Buffalo has had to see Claypool and All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano suffer season-ending injuries. Milano's injury is far more of an important impact on the roster, but both players show how thin the true depth of the roster is.

Curtis Samuel may have been the big free agent acquisition, but with Claypool down, more of the depth of the receiver position will be put into the spotlight.

And the longer the season goes, the more likely other injuries will follow.

It's why, at this moment, the Bills' front office's offseason acquisitions aren't exactly off to the greatest of runs on the field.
