Tom Brady Took a Jab at Daniel Jones While Talking to Stephen A. Smith

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones' NFL career has been quite a whirlwind, and Friday only added to that.

At Fanatics Fest, football legend Tom Brady discussed mistakes as a quarterback while on stage with Stephen A. Smith.

Fanatics Fest is a weekend-long "Comic-Con" event that will bring big-name athletes and other Hollywood stars, such as Kevin Durant, Peyton Manning, Derek Jeter, and Travis Scott, together for fans to interact with. Hosted in New York City, it will feature 100+ athletes and expects to draw 50,000 fans .

When discussing the extreme standards he would hold himself to, Brady shared that after throwing a "really bad interception," he would think to himself, "You are the worst quarterback in the world. How could you possibly make that throw?"

He admitted that he can't help but have that same mentality when watching today's quarterbacks. But, of course, he has to keep those thoughts internal as he gears up for the first season of his 10-year, $375 million NFL broadcasting deal with FOX Sports.

Before being cut off by a room filled with laughter, Brady said, " Let's say Daniel Jones were to throw an interception."

"I wasn't even being critical of Daniel Jones... Maybe I was a little bit," he added with a smile.

Jones is entering his sixth NFL season with the Giants, where he and the team haven't had much success. Over those five seasons, he has 12,512 passing yards, a 64.3 completion percentage, 62 touchdowns and 40 interceptions. New York is 22-36-1 in the regular season when Jones starts.

Although the offense has been largely unimpressive, the Giants rewarded Jones with a four-year contract extension worth $160 million shortly after he led them to a win over the Minnesota Vikings in the 2022-23 NFC Wild Card Round.
